Techno Tragedy

Standard

Hey my wonderful friends!

I’ve been neglecting my blog lately and that’s because my computer finally died. Beyond repair this time. That’s right, it finally kicked the bucket after all these years. I have to admit I cried a little, haha. Luckily I backed up everything a couple weeks ago so I didn’t loose all my important stuff.

What does this mean? Well, until I get a replacement device I doubt I’ll have many opportunities to update my blog. This also means I don’t have access to all the games that I’ve played and have built connections with. I’m posting this from my local library and I think it’s time I look into either getting a new computer or possibly buying a tablet of some sort. I’ve looked in the past, but never settled on anything. I also haven’t budgeted for a new device so the idea of spending money that would otherwise be going to my student loans isn’t an appealing idea, but I do want to stay connected with you all!

I don’t plan on not returning to my blog community, I love you guys too much and all your blogs for that matter. Keep doing what you are doing! Know that you are worth it, know that you deserve it, and don’t take shit from no one! 🙂

With love,

Michelle

Hi everyone!

I just received my invitation to Ello today! I’m now a member of this ad free social network! I am just now checking it out and getting acquainted. It’s been many years since I stopped using Facebook and I think I’ve finally found its replacement. If you want to know more about Ello check it out here. Ello is by invitation only so if you want to join you have to send a request. I can also send out invites, so if you would like to request one from me feel free to comment below or send me an email and I’ll get right on it. Read Ello’s manifesto below!

Have a wonderful weekend!

“Your social network is owned by advertisers.

Every post you share, every friend you make and every link you follow is tracked, recorded and converted into data. Advertisers buy your data so they can show you more ads. You are the product that’s bought and sold.

We believe there is a better way. We believe in audacity. We believe in beauty, simplicity and transparency. We believe that the people who make things and the people who use them should be in partnership.

We believe a social network can be a tool for empowerment. Not a tool to deceive, coerce and manipulate — but a place to connect, create and celebrate life.

You are not a product.”

I agree with this! Oh, and don’t worry I’m still blogging! 😉

xoxo
